We are proud to announce that Senteon has been named a finalist in Cyber Defense Magazine’s 2026 Top InfoSec Innovator Awards and its Top 25 Most Innovative Cybersecurity Companies in the World.
The recognition was announced during Black Hat USA 2026 as part of Cyber Defense Magazine’s 14th Annual InfoSec Awards. Finalists were evaluated by a panel of cybersecurity experts looking for companies that understand emerging threats, offer cost-effective solutions, and find innovative ways to reduce cyber risk.
For Senteon, this recognition reinforces a principle that has guided our platform from the beginning: preventing security incidents requires more than detecting threats after they appear. Organizations also need to reduce the configuration weaknesses that create opportunities for attackers in the first place.
Making Endpoint Hardening Manageable at Scale
Modern organizations depend on thousands of individual security configurations across servers, workstations, browsers, and Microsoft Office applications. Each setting may seem small on its own, but together, they shape an organization’s overall security posture.
The challenge is that these configurations are rarely static.
Software updates, policy changes, administrative actions, and everyday operational needs can cause systems to drift away from their approved security baselines. Even organizations that carefully harden their environments can gradually become exposed again if they do not have a reliable way to identify and correct that drift.
Senteon was built to solve this problem.
The platform automates the assessment, remediation, and ongoing monitoring of more than 3,000 security configurations. It helps organizations establish hardened baselines across servers, workstations, browsers, and Office applications and then continuously monitors those systems to help keep them aligned.
Instead of relying on one-time hardening projects, extensive spreadsheets, or manual configuration reviews, security and IT teams gain a more consistent and measurable way to maintain configuration integrity.
Innovation Focused on a Persistent Security Problem
Configuration management is not a new cybersecurity challenge, but it remains one of the most difficult to manage consistently.
Organizations may know which security standards they need to follow, yet translating those standards into individual technical configurations can require significant time and specialized knowledge. Maintaining those configurations as systems and requirements change adds another layer of complexity.
Senteon helps bridge the gap between established security guidance and practical implementation. The platform gives organizations greater visibility into their current configuration posture, helps remediate misaligned settings, and provides ongoing monitoring for configuration drift.
This approach supports stronger cybersecurity programs while reducing the administrative burden placed on internal teams.
“Being named a finalist among some of the most innovative cybersecurity companies in the world is an incredible honor,” said Henry Zhang, CEO of Senteon. “Organizations are managing thousands of security configurations across constantly changing environments, and even a single configuration change can introduce unnecessary risk. At Senteon, we’re focused on making endpoint hardening and configuration integrity continuous, measurable, and manageable at scale. This recognition reinforces our belief that preventing security drift and maintaining hardened systems should be a fundamental part of every organization’s cybersecurity strategy.”
Supporting Security and Compliance Objectives
Strong configuration management can also play an important role in demonstrating compliance with cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements.
Senteon supports mappings to widely recognized standards and frameworks, including:
- CIS Benchmarks
- CMMC v2
- NIST 800-53 Rev. 5
- NIST 800-171 Rev. 2 & 3
- HIPAA
- PCI DSS v4
- SOC 2
- ISO 27001
- Essential Eight
- Cyber Essentials v2.2
- MITRE ATT&CK and D3FEND
By connecting technical security configurations to applicable framework requirements, Senteon helps teams better understand their posture and produce clearer evidence for internal reviews, customer requirements, and formal assessments.
While tools alone cannot create compliance, reliable configuration data and ongoing drift monitoring can make it easier for organizations to demonstrate that security policies are being implemented and maintained.
Recognized by Cyber Defense Magazine
“Senteon embodies three major features we judges look for with the potential to become winners: understanding tomorrow’s threats, today, providing a cost-effective solution and innovating in unexpected ways that can help mitigate cyber risk and get one step ahead of the next breach,” said Gary S. Miliefsky, Publisher of Cyber Defense Magazine.
Judging will continue through October 2026. Winners will be announced online, in print, and during CyberDefenseCon 2026, taking place October 20–21 at The Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida.
We are honored to be included among this year’s finalists and grateful to the customers, partners, and team members who continue to help advance Senteon’s mission.
Building a More Secure Baseline
Cybersecurity teams face no shortage of alerts, vulnerabilities, and evolving threats. Configuration integrity gives them an opportunity to address risk closer to its source by strengthening the systems attackers may attempt to exploit.
Senteon is continuing to make endpoint hardening more practical across servers, workstations, browsers, and Office applications helping organizations replace one-time configuration projects with a continuous and manageable security process.
